(2-Spirits Organizational Capacity-Building Pilot) Project

To enhance the number of Aboriginal 2-Spirit HIV positive activists and speakers available to groups and organizations, particularly those that are Aboriginal, the 2-Spirits Organizational Capacity-Building Pilot Project was established. This initiative will teach five 2-Spirit APHAs to meet the demand for more voices.

The project trainees create conferences and workshops to improve 2 Spirits’ capacity to provide culturally sensitive HIV/AIDS education to both the Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal communities. They also take part in issue-specific workshops and conferences to advance their expertise of Aboriginal HIV/AIDS issues.
